In September 2020, Council awarded a design tender to J.W. Taylor Consulting to develop these concept plans who was to consult with staff community members and stakeholders in completing this task. These concept plans were completed in the fall of 2021, and were presented to Council at the September 14, 2021 meeting, who then directed staff to move forward with engineering plans for the exterior layout of the park with phased costing and an enlarged pickleball court to 2 courts total.

The northern portion of the property was graded in 2022 and the initial exterior amenities are planned to be installed in 2023 such as the pump track, exterior walking path, and rough-ins for the lighting. Future phases of the project include the Pickleball Court, playground, and exterior lookout/seating area as funding becomes available.
