Rideau Lakes launces Parks and Recreation Master Plan survey

Published: Thursday, 23 November 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 22, 2023

Chantry, ON – The Township of Rideau Lakes has started the process of updating its Parks and Recreation Master Plan. K.A. Community Consulting has already been assessing outdoor recreation facilities and is connecting with key stakeholders in the community.

The update to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan will rely heavily on the input from community to ensure that the final plan reflects local needs and priorities. We want to hear from you!

The Community Survey is now open and will be available through to December 8, 2023. The survey can be accessed from the Township’s website and paper copies will be made available at key locations including the local library branches. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and will ask for your feedback on parks, facilities, programs and more!

“We are excited to be updating our Parks and Recreation Master Plan and we want you to be a part of the process,” noted Mayor Hoogenboom. “We value your contribution, and we hope you can find a few minutes to complete the Community Survey. Tell us about your priorities, your experiences, and help shape the future of recreation in our Township.”

To learn more about the Parks and Recreation Plan Update, visit www.rideaulakes.ca and navigate to Town Hall > Projects. Here you will find project updates and the various ways in which you can participate in the process.
