The Township of Rideau Lakes has been advised by the proponent, Simon Rowland, CEO, Renewable Power Partners Inc. that he has withdrawn his request for the proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at 774 Hwy 15 in Lombardy. As a result, the proposal is no longer under consideration at this time.

The proponent has indicated that he may choose to submit an application in the future. Should any new proposal be brought forward, it will be reviewed in accordance with all applicable municipal and provincial requirements, including opportunities for public engagement.
