The Township of Rideau Lakes is thrilled to announce that Enbridge Gas has approved the Township’s application to provide a generous grant of $2,500 for the Holiday Food Drive for Rideau Lakes Food Banks. This funding will be provided by Benevity's partner, the Canadian Online Giving Foundation.

This sponsorship is a testament to Enbridge Gas's commitment to energizing communities and supporting initiatives that foster community safety, vibrancy, and sustainability. By partnering with community leaders such as Rideau Lakes, Enbridge Gas continues to make positive and lasting impacts in communities across Ontario, and this initiative is no exception.

The grant will support the Holiday Food Drive, an essential program that provides vital food resources to local families in need, ensuring that no one in Rideau Lakes goes hungry during the holidays. The contribution will help further strengthen the efforts of the Rideau Lakes Food Banks and ensure the sustainability of this important initiative.

"We are absolutely delighted to support the Rideau Lakes Food Banks' Holiday Food Drive," said a spokesperson from Enbridge Gas. "Through partnerships like these, we continue to empower local organizations and make meaningful differences in the communities where we live and work. We are proud to play a part in addressing food insecurity and supporting the well-being of families in Rideau Lakes."

Mayor Arie Hoogenboom added, "On behalf of the Township of Rideau Lakes, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Enbridge Gas for their generosity. This donation will provide a much-needed boost to our local food banks. We are pleased to announce that $500 will be distributed to each of the five food banks in the area, ensuring that more families have access to the support they need. This collaboration highlights the power of community and the importance of coming together to support one another."
