The Township of Rideau Lakes is pleased to announce that Council and Committee meetings will return to in-person attendance effective November 15, 2026, welcoming residents back to Council Chambers.
The return to in-person meetings follows a decision by the Township's Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) to revoke Recommendation 9Oct25, effective November 15, 2026, which had previously informed the Township's approach to meeting attendance.
With the commencement of the new Council term, members of Council and staff will resume attending meetings in person, and members of the public will once again be welcome to attend Council and Committee meetings in Council Chambers.
“As we begin a new term of Council, I look forward to returning to in-person meetings and welcoming residents back to Council Chambers. Public participation, transparency, and respectful discussion are important elements of effective local government,” stated Shellee Fournier, Township Chief Administrative Officer.
A new schedule of Council and Committee meetings will be established following the inauguration of the new Council. The next Committee of the Whole meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 23, 2026.
