This is an application under Section 45 of the Ontario Planning Act requesting minor variances from the provisions of the Township of Rideau Lakes’ Zoning By-law #2023-50 as amended. The applicants are seeking approval for a sleeping cabin that was converted from a detached garage prior to obtaining the required approvals. The following variances are requested:
Section 3.1.7.1 – Relief of 25.8sqm from the maximum 30sqm floor area permitted for a sleeping cabin to allow for a 55.8sqm sleeping cabin.
Section 5.2.2 – Relief of 0.11m from the minimum required 3m interior side yard setback to allow for a 2.89m setback to the north side lot line for the sleeping cabin.
Section 5.2.2 - Relief of 0.9m from the minimum required 7.5m rear side yard setback to allow for a 6.6m setback to the rear lot line for the sleeping cabin.
