Twenty-one Businesses Nominated for the Rideau Lakes Business Recognition Awards

The Township of Rideau Lakes is pleased to announce that 21 local businesses have been nominated for the 2022 Business Recognition Awards.

This year, the Township is working with three event sponsors to shine the light on local employers, business owners and young entrepreneurs that make a difference. A special thank you to G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction Ltd., KPMG MSRP and RBC Royal Bank of Canada for their incredible support of the local business community and their sponsorship of the Rideau Lakes Business Recognition Awards program.

Mayor Arie Hoogenboom remarked, “The Township of Rideau Lakes is very pleased to see this level of participation in the Awards program. It really helps us to recognize and celebrate the work of local business that contribute to the strength of our communities.”

Business of the Year: Awarded to recognize a business operating within the Township of Rideau Lakes that has demonstrated a commitment to the community and its residents, while displaying strong ethics within the business and society.

Business Innovation: Awarded to acknowledge a business that has demonstrated innovation by enhancing its business and services. This may relate to implementing an “outside the box” system, customer service strategies, or by rejuvenating its operations through new technologies and facility upgrades.

Young Entrepreneur (under 35): Awarded to honour the hard work demonstrated by a young entrepreneur (under 35 years old at the time of nomination), and either resides, operates an active business, or grew up primarily in the Township.
