Newboro Community Visioning

Published: Thursday, 10 June 2021

The Township of Rideau Lakes is excited to welcome all community members to participate in conversations about the future of Newboro. The purpose of the Village Visioning is to gather information about how residents and stakeholders want to see Newboro evolve over the next ten years. This is an opportunity to shape your community and its future.

You are invited to attend one of four (1½ hour) Community Conversations that will be held virtually on Zoom. Each Conversation will have the same agenda, so you only need to register for one. Community Conversations will be held on the following dates:

1. Wednesday June 23 9:30 am

2. Wednesday June 23 1:00 pm

3. Thursday July 8 1:00 pm

4. Thursday July 8 6:45 pm

If you want an alternative way to participate, you can provide your comments in writing via an online survey here: https://www.surveymonkey/r/newborovisioning Paper copies are available at the library. The survey will be open until July 16, 2021.

Four key questions will guide our conversations. They will also be used in the survey:

·What makes Newboro a great place in which to live or visit?

·What existing strengths and assets can we build on?

·What would you like to see in the village by the year 2030?

·How will we know when we achieve the vision (indicators/developments)?

No matter how you choose to join the conversation, the focus will be on getting as many people as possible engaged in helping to shape Newboro’s future.
