DESCRIPTION:The Delta Recreation Centre will be a happening place on Family Day, as the
  Delta Athletic Recreational Society (DARS) hosts its Family Fun Day starti
 ng at 9 a.m., featuring youth hockey 3-on-3 at the rink. Other kid-friendly
  activities will include Chuck-a-Puck, children’s races, face painting, ani
 mal balloons and more. Organizers are happy to offer a day of family fun fo
 r free, but say non-perishable items donated to the Delta Food Bank would b
 e greatly appreciated. Good old-fashioned Jack wax (a syrupy snow taffy tre
 at) will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The canteen will be open for t
 hose who wish to purchase snacks, and a bonfire will be set up for marshmal
 low roasting (an adult must assist kids). The rink will be open to all ages
  after the scheduled activities on the ice are finished. Prizes will be awa
 rded to the youngest and oldest females and males on skates and to the grou
