Conquer The Rideau Canal

Description

“Conquer the Rideau Canal” is organized by the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) Soldier On program and will take place from September 9-18, 2022.

This exciting and challenging national event is taking place on one of Canada’s most historic and beautiful waterways, the Rideau Canal, which connects Canada's capital city of Ottawa, Ontario, to Lake Ontario and the Saint Lawrence River at Kingston, a distance of 202 kilometres long.

During these 10 days, a team of ill and injured serving Canadian Armed Forces members and Veterans from across Canada will challenge themselves physically and mentally as they canoe from Kingston to Ottawa along the Rideau Canal, thereby “conquering” the canal. The event will culminate on September 18 when the team will participate in the 5 km Canadian Army Run route.

We invite you to come and cheer our team on as they make they complete their journey and stop along the waterway. For more information and updates on their progress, check out Soldier On social media channels.

When: Friday, September 9, 2022  - Sunday 18 September 2022
Event Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm
