Skate the Lake Challenge

Come and play!

Skate the Lake may be cancelled but the CHALLENGE is on!

Last year we introduced the Skate the Lake Challenge and it is back by popular demand.
This winter we want you to track the laps you skate on our oval. Will you skate 5K, 10K, 25K, 50K, 100K or 200K or even more? You’ve got all winter.

Here is how to track your laps:
1. Use Strava track your distance. Download the Strava app on your phone and join the Skate the Lake Club and start skating.
2. Manually log the number of laps you skated in our form. Each time after you've skated you laps make sure to log them there.
Skate the Lake volunteers will monitor both of these and will track and publish them on social media.

Note that laps you skate during Skate the Lake on January 29 and 30, 2022 will also count towards your challenge total so sign up now!

Last year 21 skaters kept track of their laps and collectively they skated 1,433 kilometres. That's from Portland to Thunder Bay, a 17 hour drive!
