Sue Warren will speak about the life of her grandfather, Herm Warren, a well known community icon of Chaffeys Lock and the Rideau Lakes Community: veteran  of WW1, canal man and lockmaster for 36 years, fishing guide, dedicated gardener and friend to all.

Sue draws on Herm's over 90 letters sent home from the war front, family pictures/memorabilia and unending stories to give her audience a picture of Herm, his family and his times.
