The society formed in 1963 when 4 trustees were given the deed to the mill by its last owner, Hastings Steele. They gathered other volunteers and embarked on a 60 year journey to create the mill we see today, a marvelous showcase of our heritage. On Saturday, August 19, from 10 am to 5 pm we will be celebrating those volunteers. We'll have our millstones working, music playing, fresh bread, made with Old Stone Mill Red Fife flour to taste (free recipes included) and much more. Come out and help us celebrate.
