DESCRIPTION:<p>The Delta Recreation Centre will be a happening place on Family Day, as 
 the Delta Athletic Recreational Society (DARS) hosts its Family Fun Day sta
 rting at 9 a.m., featuring youth hockey 3-on-3 at the rink. Other kid-frien
 dly activities will include Chuck-a-Puck, children’s races, face painting, 
 animal balloons and more. Organizers are happy to offer a day of family fun
  for free, but say non-perishable items donated to the Delta Food Bank woul
 d be greatly appreciated. Good old-fashioned Jack wax (a syrupy snow taffy 
 treat) will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The canteen will be open fo
 r those who wish to purchase snacks, and a bonfire will be set up for marsh
 mallow roasting (an adult must assist kids). The rink will be open to all a
 ges after the scheduled activities on the ice are finished. Prizes will be 
 awarded to the youngest and oldest females and males on skates and to the g
 roup with the largest number of people from one family on skates.</p><p><em
