Description

The plans for the Westport-Rideau lakes 2023 Canada Day events are:

• 8am-10:30am: takeout breakfast at Westport Library, Spring St, Westport
• 9:30am-4:30pm: Rideau District museum open  Bedford st, Westport
• 11am-4pm:  helicopter rides from Rideau Lakes Municipal airfield (access from County Rd 10). Tickets available from the Westport Circle K.
• noon-4pm: children's activities at Lions Beach, 62 Mountain Rd, Westport 
• 2pm: bicycle parade and opening ceremonies. Start at St Edward's school, north on Bedford St, east on Church, South on Spring ending at Westport Arena
• 2pm-4pm: Carriage display and museum open, Rideau Street, Westport
• 5:30 pm-7pm: takeout fish dinner at  RCLegion 542, County Rd 10
• 7pm-10pm: live band at RCLegion 542, County Rd 10
• 10pm-10:45pm: fireworks at RCLegion 542, County Rd 10. Great views from the lake!

Parking will be restricted near the Lions Beach and the Westport Legion. However, a shuttle bus will be operating between venues most of the day and evening.
