Rideau Lakes Business Recognition Program

The Economic Development Committee is pleased to celebrate the success of local businesses and recognize their contributions to the community. Members of the public are invited to nominate businesses from February 1 to the first Friday in March. During the nomination period, the nomination form is available online or at local libraries and the Township office.

On the first Friday of April each year, awards are presented in three categories:

Business Innovation: acknowledges a business that demonstrates innovation in enhancing its business and services. This may relate to implementing an “outside the box” system or rejuvenating its operations through new technologies and facility upgrades.

Business of the Year: recognizes a business operating within the Township of Rideau Lakes that has demonstrated a commitment to the community and its residents, while displaying strong ethics within the business and society.

2018: The Opinicon
2017: Country Roads Community Health Centre

Young Entrepreneur: honours the hard work demonstrated by a young entrepreneur (under 35) who either resides, operates an active business, or grew up primarily in the Township.

2020 Business Recognition Award Nominees

The Township of Rideau Lakes Economic Development Committee is pleased to announce the nominees for the 2020 Business Recognition Awards.

The Business Recognition Breakfast, which was originally scheduled for April 3, had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Plans for a recognition event in the Fall are underway.
